In 1959 at an age of 15, Bengt Hansson got his first gig. He was sitting near the window pretending to play his new trombone, while a nice trombone solo sounded from the grammophone. A student passing by, who just needed a
trombone player for his band, pushed the doorbell and offered a job. So Bengt had to practice hard to learn the instrument.
A year later he had to resign from the band because his father on several occations had to take him home from late night sessions with these considerably older musicians.
Then he played for many good years with Traditional Feetwarmers,Scanjazz, Boulevard-kvartetten, -kvintetten, sextetten and various substitute jobs in different bands. Finally ending up with New Orleans Delight.
